0 - Introduction or What Have You Got Yourself Into?

Hello! Pour some damn fine coffee and join us on a journey through Twin Peaks together. Ben is a long time Twin Peaks and David Lynch fan while Sarah has never seen a single episode and will be reacting to the series for the first time.

Whether you are already a fan or are new feel free to watch along with us. 

In this episode, we chat a little about Sarah's expectations and provide a little back story about ourselves. 

1. Pilot Episode or "Intrigue, donuts and more intrigue..."

"Diane, 7:30AM, February 24th. Entering town of Twin Peaks...." To celebrate Twin Peaks Day here is the first full episode of a brand new podcast where Ben, a long time fan and Sarah who is watching for the first time, take a journey into a place both wonderful and strange. 

In today's episode we talk about the Pilot episode and Sarah gives her very first reaction to the world of Twin Peaks. 

 

2. Traces to Nowhere or Slapped Hard in the Face

Continuing our journey through Twin Peaks from the very beginning. Ben is a long time fan and Sarah is new to the whole Twin Peaks universe. 

After a recap on the Pilot episode, we learn some more about these characters, have some rather excellent coffee, some not so good coffee and we meet someone quite important.

(A very important correction to be made. Kyle's wine is Pursued by a Bear not Chased!)

3. Zen or the Skill to Catch a Killer, or "His Grease Solved Her Problem"

Continuing our journey through Twin Peaks from the very beginning. Ben is a long time fan and Sarah is new to the whole Twin Peaks universe

New characters, new discoveries and Sarah is introduced to a certain red coloured room for the first time. Also The Simpsons make an appearance. 

4. Rest in Pain or "Doesn't he have a parrot?"

It's all too dreamy (and a little piratey) in our latest instalment as Sarah and Ben chat about the next episode of Twin Peaks, Rest in Pain, attempting a little Red Room ‘backwards talk’ before we do. Between recording and uploading this episode, we were saddened to hear of the passing of Walter Olkewicz who’s character Jacques Renault Sarah meets for the very first time.

5. The One-Armed Man or 'He's Just a Very Sweaty Man'

After a little break (sorry about that) we continue our journey through Twin Peaks from two different points of view.

In this episode we meet a llama, practise some shooting and say hello to Philip Michael Gerard, while Ben Horne does a lot of sweating.

6. Cooper's Dreams or 'Find some joy in your life, for the love of God'

Our journey through Twin Peaks from two perspectives: one new, one experienced continues and we gets ever closer to the season 1 finale. In today's episode, we find out what dreams mean and learn some nice Icelandic songs. The Log Lady has quite a bit to say and Sarah gives us a few culinary recomendations.  

7. Realization Time or “It’s ok to not be ok crocodiles”

Everyone’s being very naughty in today’s episode. Except for the hosts of course. As well as there being shenanigans aplenty, we give some supportive advice to crocodiles and find out what, if anything, it’s time to realise. Most importantly, all hail menswear…

8. The Last Evening, or 'I'd never show you my lovefork'

Our journey through Twin Peaks reaches the nail-biting season 1 finale. How many cliffhangers can be crammed into one episode? And just why do Americans put an s on the end of the work Lego?

For our overseas listeners: Bants - Noun. Abbreviation of Banter. A conversation that is intended to be funny and not serious. Usually including playful or teasing dialogue. The term is often used in particular when describing this type of conversation among young male friends (lads) and can often include trips to the Peri Peri chicken restaurant Nando's. 

9. May the Giant Be With You, or 'Teeth Are Not the Thing That You Reminisce About'

Welcome back as we set sail for Season 2 of Twin Peaks. Ben is a long time Lynch and Peaks fan, but Sarah is reacting for the first time.

Picking things up from the cliffhanger-imbued Season 1 finale we meet a nice giant and a surprise sister. We also have a chat about snacks, French pastry and Mendelssohn. Apologies for more sound-issues than usual...
